Fig. 2 Procedure for a novel suture method. (A) First, we throw a single mattress suture in the posterior segment of the meniscus at a certain distance from the injured site. (B) Next, we put through most of the thread within the meniscal tissue. (C) Third, another stitch is sutured distally to the mattress suture in the direction of the fibers of the meniscus. (D) The thread is passed through the parenchyma and pulled out in front of the meniscus. (E) Finally, we tie both ends of the anterior thread surface of the anterior horn of the meniscus.
